This is a really fantastic 2008 Gabriella model by Vicente Carrillo, one of the great Madrid-school makers. It’s got everything you want in a Spanish guitar—rich, warm tone, tons of dynamic range, and a responsiveness that invites you to keep exploring its colors.
Unlike traditional Spanish guitars that typically have spruce tops, this one features cedar, which a lot of the famous Madrid luthiers prefer. And after playing this guitar, it’s easy to hear why. It’s got a deep, powerful sound, with a natural warmth and clarity that adapts to your touch. Play softly, and you get this velvety, whisper-like tone. Push it harder, and it responds with that punchy, bold Spanish character.
Some Standout Features:
Cedar top – Beautifully aged, in near-flawless condition.
Madagascar rosewood back & sides – Stunning grain with bold striping.
52mm nut width – Super comfortable, easy to play.
Low action – Feels great as-is, but there’s plenty of room on the saddle if you want to adjust it further.
This guitar was kept by a collector, and it shows. Despite being a 2008, it’s in excellent shape—very clean, no major wear. If you’re looking for an instrument that’s a serious step up from a factory-made or entry-level luthier guitar, this one is an incredible value.
