Today I have the opportunity to present to you quite a dreamy guitar!!

This one is by the famed, late great American luthier Thomas Humphrey.

While Thomas Humphrey was most known for his “millennium” model guitars, characterized by their very raised fingerboards, the pre-millinium models are beloved by Humphrey enthusiasts, some even strongly preferring these over his later work. For a long span of time, Humphrey guitars conquered stages worldwide and were played by virtually all of the biggest names in classical guitar. Speaking of known figures in the classical guitar world, Alice Artzt was the former owner of this very guitar! A cool factoid that I forgot to mention in the video!

You can’t help falling in love with this guitar. The bass voices have a charm to them that makes you want to keep exploring. The trebles have a sparkle to them while maintaining clarity and punch. Above all, its colorful and responsive.

This guitar has seen some play, but you’ll find the top to be in remarkable condition, with no cracks or repairs, and only minor scuffs and nail marks here and there. On the back there are 2-3 professionally repaired cracks that have been stable for many years. You can see photographs where I tried to make them look as ugly as possible for full transparency. In all reality, you hardly notice them.

Here’s a chance to grab a GREAT Humphrey and at a low cost comparatively.

Specs:

-Spruce Top (fan braced)

-Brazilian Rosewood back and sides

-Sloane tuners

-650 mmScale

-52mm nut width
