I'm particularly fond of older Blackwells, especially those with nomex interior layer, as my personal favorite Blackwell has a -very- similar bearclaw spruce top and nomex interior as opposed to balsa.
This one compares very well to my favorite one but I can't keep both. His newer guitars are certainly a little bit louder, but this one is still VERY powerful, and while it may not be quite as loud as his newer ones, it makes up for it in openness and sweetness of the trebles.
Some guitars you get in and think "hmm, well I bet it will open up after some more play". You certainly won't feel that with this one. It's wide open, and has that characteristic creamy Blackwell trebles.
I'll be making a video on it today or tomorrow, so please message me if you want the link before I get around to posting it here. Great for the age. No repairs, cracks, dents. Just surface scratches as can be seen in photos. A french polish touch-up would make it look brand new, but is not needed. See photos!
Comes with BAM case.
