Crisp, deep, colorful, powerful, balanced, beautiful. All words that escape your mouth within the first minute of playing this guitar. Boy, do I feel lucky having this guitar in my possession. Getting. to know this one has been a real treat. If it was mine and not on consignment, I’d take it for myself.
If you’ve been looking for a lifelong guitar, this one just might be the one for you. As you’ll have heard me say in the video review, while this one is 35 years old, the second you take it out of the case, you’ll think it was finished yesterday, It is in MINT/immaculate condition.
This one is a sleeping beauty. It’s lived amongst a large collection and while it’s been appreciated, it hasn’t been played much. After 5-10 minutes of playing on this guitar, everything starts to “light up”. Overtones sing, the guitar opens up, it gets louder and more powerful. It’s really an experience to behold.
This is the type of guitar that makes you a better player. Perhaps, it encourages you to take risks through it’s endless sea of colors. It’s unmatched clarity makes you appreciate notes you had never noticed in your repertoire, and something as simple as an octave or perfect fifth seems to have the breathtaking beauty that the most complex of chords seem to only be able to achieve on other instruments.
I’ll stop talking. Please listen to the recording, and please write if you have any questions.
