It’s not too often that I have guitars at this price point that I would recommend, mainly because guitars in this price range often times don't offer a large leap in sound or playability from the guitars that are significantly less expensive (entry level guitars).

However, I was recently blown away by these guitars by Daniel Stark when I visited his workshop in Oldenburg, Germany.

These guitars are made in Spain, but quality checked and adjusted by Daniel in his workshop in Germany. So, both of them play extremely easy, and with low action. Sound wise, it’s about all you can ask for - they are braced similar/the same as his concert model guitars, and therefore sound surprisingly similar. They also have a powerful sound, with a broad range of colors. They have a Simplicio-inspired rosette and bindings that add a nice touch to the guitar, that make it beautiful, but not tacky.

If you’re a beginner or intermediate player looking for the next step up, I couldn’t recommend these guitars enough. I hand picked these two (this one, and it’s sister, a cedar top) from Daniel’s shop from a bunch of them, so these two are particularly beautiful sounding and looking.

These come with a very basic softshell case.

Specs:

-Spruce Top

-Wenge back and sides

-650mm scale

-52mm nut

-Traditional bracing
