Up for sale is one of the most special instruments I’ve encountered, and I feel so lucky to have gotten to know it.

This 1994 Daniel Friederich is a step above the rest, sonically and aesthetically.

First, the sound. The basses are magical. More sustain than you could ever ask for, but better yet is how the basses “hum” (as a friend of mine put it), giving you a charming, yet secure feeling when playing them. The trebles - they sparkle, and are equals with the bass in terms of projection and response, which to be honest is a shock after hearing the strength of the basses. When I play this guitar, the sounds of many of my favorite recordings pop into my mind. I think “oh, that’s the sound I was looking for. I’ll leave it at that, and let you see the video so you can see what I mean.

The guitar’s setup is stellar. Low action, with room to go even lower (although it’s already lower than the 4mm/3mm standard). Something confuses me about this guitar - while the neck certainly fills your hand, it is extremely comfortable. I find myself squeezing less, and just lightly “holding on” for the ride.

The condition of this guitar is quite rare. As you’ll see in the video where I explain this, it was primarily owned by one person most of its years, who bought it from Daniel Friederich himself. The only blemish on this guitar is the dark spot underneath the 6th string, which was from some polish that was left on a cloth, that was rested on top of the guitar, and closed inside the case for many years. Aaron Green represented this guitar in the past, and touched this little spot up, along with what looks to be a couple of tiny marks in the usual spot under the strings. There are no cracks, repairs, or dings! The french polish on the back and sides also looks stellar.

All standard specs!

Not to be forgotten are the Rodgers tuners which work super well that are included with this guitar. Also included are the (far less superior) original Fustero tuners, which I have inside the Rodgers box.

Please see video below, and it’s worth noting that there are several other great video’s online of this same 1994 Friederich. Aaron Green, the person who previously represented this guitar, speaks very highly of this particular Friederich, as you will see in the video descriptions.

Thank you for reading, watching, and your messages!
