Dake Traphagen has done it again! After getting to know several second-hand instrument’s of Dake’s over the past couple of years, I am finally lucky enough to be able to offer a brand new one from the workshop of Dake Traphagen. As you might have been able to tell from the video, which you'll see, I filmed the unboxing of, this guitar is somehow brand new, yet has a voice of a guitar that has been around for ages. Maybe it's because of the wood selection, maybe it's because of dates attention to detail, or maybe it's because Dake has built an incredible number of instruments over the years, and at this point has perfected his design.
I'll leave the decisions up to you, but please take a moment to listen to this guitar in detail, and browse through the photos. I think you'll see what I mean. If you've dreamed for a while now, of playing a guitar, and be able to witness it open up and develop under your fingers, I can assure you, this is an exceptional candidate to do just that.
What jumps out to me about this guitar is it color palette, ease of play, ability to be pushed, and responsiveness. An exceptional guitar in every way.
Specs:
650mm
52mm nut wifth
Spruce top
Brazilian rosewood back and sides
Traditional model, traditional bracing
Rubner “el Sonido” tuners - their top of the line model. In the video I said “Alessi” but was incorrect.
