This one was here and gone in a a matter of hours! A guitar by one of the most prominent of the Berlin Luthiers: Adrian Heinzelmann.

Adrian has been on my radar for a while, as many colleagues and professionals have been choosing his instruments. As you can imagine, this has created quite a demand which has results in Adrian’s waitlist being many many years long!

This one came as a surprise to me for many reasons. For one, I was expecting my very first Heinzelmann here at GuitarCollection.com in just a month or two (a cedar/rosewood “Groove top”, and then this one arrived early!

I was also surprised and delighted by the woods on this guitar. It doesn’t get much better than a great piece of flamed maple, and this one has me in awe.

This guitar made quite in appearance in our weekly live stream, and certainly turned some heads and ears, so to say.

The sound of this one is not only huge, color, and even, but also incredibly natural. As far as I’m concerned, this is possibly the hardest quality for any luthier to achieve when attempting a modern design, especially one like this which also comes with lots of volume. In a sea of double tops, this one won't be the loudest, but it will certainly be one of the most natural sounding and colorful instruments.

The playability also goes unmatched. Since I hadn't played one of Adrian's instruments before, when I ordered an instrument from him (several years ago!) I was very detailed and what I wanted with the neck. However, when I received this guitar, which wasn't to my spec, I noticed that my message was unnecessary. The neck is already perfect, well at least to my preferences to the “T”.

Well, this guitar is already gone and sold, but I wanted to share with you not just the video, but my thoughts and some photos.

Lastly, thank you so much for reading, and for viewing my website. My website host gives me all of the statistics and I can see that many of you are watching my videos and reading my posts from well across the world. Don't forget to say hi and maybe let me know what Guitar you are looking for and what you might be interested in. I might just have one in or coming soon.

Speaking of, of course, there is a new Heinzelmann coming very, very soon. Please write if you’d like to learn more.
